The Islamabad Healthcare Regulatory Authority (IHRA) has announced strict action against unregistered healthcare facilities operating in the federal capital, issuing a final warning for immediate compliance.
According to IHRA, all healthcare establishments functioning without registration have been given 15 days to complete their registration process and submit the required documentation. Failure to comply within the given timeframe will result in sealing of the facilities and further legal action under applicable laws.
The authority said the move is part of its ongoing efforts to ensure patient safety, quality healthcare services, and regulatory oversight across Islamabad. Unregistered clinics, IHRA noted, pose serious risks due to the lack of accountability, standard operating procedures, and qualified staff verification.
IHRA has urged clinic owners, laboratories, diagnostic centers, and other healthcare providers to regularize their status promptly to avoid enforcement action. Inspections will be intensified after the deadline to identify violators.
The decision aligns with broader government efforts to strengthen healthcare regulation and eliminate illegal medical practices in the capital.
