Karachi Residents Invited to NADRA Open Courts on August 29 for CNIC, NICOP, and FRC Services

NADRA open court Karachi August 29

Citizen-Centered Service Initiative
The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has scheduled open court sessions in Karachi on August 29, 2025, as part of its commitment to improving transparency and direct service delivery. The initiative follows Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s directive to bring essential services closer to the people.

Where and When
Two public sessions are planned across the city:

  • North Nazimabad Zone (Mega Center, Plot D 1-15, Block L, District Central) from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
  • SITE Industrial Area (Siemens Chowrangi Mega Centre) from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Citizens are advised to attend the session most convenient for them and should bring any relevant identification or family documents to help NADRA staff process their requests effectively.

Scope of Assistance
Officials present at the open courts will assist with matters related to:

  • New CNIC issuance and renewals
  • National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP)
  • Family Registration Certificates (FRCs)
  • Queries regarding data corrections or biometric verification

The move aims to reduce delays and ensure on-the-spot solutions to longstanding concerns.

Integration with Digital Platforms
In parallel with physical outreach, NADRA continues to expand its Pak-ID mobile platform, enabling Pakistanis—especially those abroad—to apply for identity documents, upload necessary files, pay fees, and track applications. The recently added application status tracking tool allows applicants to check progress remotely, minimizing visits to NADRA offices.

A Step Toward Inclusive Governance
By combining open courts with digital transformation, NADRA is pursuing a model of citizen-first service delivery. These initiatives are expected to reduce queues, enhance transparency, and make identity services more accessible across Pakistan.
