Seven Flights Called Off at Karachi Airport

Flight operations at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport faced disruption on Tuesday as seven outbound flights were cancelled due to technical and operational reasons, according to the official flight schedule.

Authorities confirmed that flights to several key domestic and international destinations were affected.

The Karachi to Kuala Lumpur flight DC-109 and Karachi to Addis Ababa flight ET-695 were among the international departures cancelled.

Domestically, AirSial cancelled multiple routes including Karachi to Islamabad (PF-125), Karachi to Sialkot (PF-135), and Karachi to Lahore (PF-143).

In addition, PIA’s Karachi to Lahore flight (PK-306) and Fly Jinnah’s Karachi to Faisalabad service (9P-810) were also called off.

Passengers advised to stay updated

Airport authorities have advised passengers to check the latest flight updates before heading to the airport. Travelers affected by the cancellations are being accommodated on upcoming flights or offered rescheduling options where possible.

An official at the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) said that the cancellations were “routine operational adjustments,” adding that technical inspections, aircraft readiness, and scheduling conflicts were the primary reasons behind Tuesday’s disruptions.

While no further delays have been reported so far, several airlines have adjusted their schedules to manage the ripple effect caused by the cancellations.

Frequent flyers have urged the CAA and airline operators to improve communication regarding last-minute schedule changes, emphasizing the need for better coordination to avoid passenger inconvenience.

Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport — Pakistan’s busiest aviation hub — handles hundreds of flights daily. Temporary disruptions, officials noted, are occasionally necessary to maintain safety and operational standards across fleets.
