Karachi got a welcome dose of rain today! As the weather department predicted, showers started sprinkling the city in the morning, growing into a moderate downpour in some neighborhoods. Places like Gadap, Surjani Town, Taiser Tower, Saddar, and Scheme 33 all enjoyed some refreshing rainfall.
The weather experts tell us that the rain system is still moving towards Karachi, and was last seen around Kund Malir. It looks like the heavier rain will hit the city around noon today and keep going through Saturday.

Rain Updates: Schools and Offices Close Early
Yesterday, the Sindh government announced that offices in Karachi would close at 2pm today because of the expected downpour. Karachi’s Mayor, Murtaza Wahab Siddiqui, also asked people to stay home unless they absolutely need to travel, just to be safe.
While there are measures in place to handle the rain, it’s always a good idea to be cautious during heavy weather.
