In a historic move, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) has appointed its first woman chief economist in the Planning and Development (P&D) Department.
According to an official notification issued by the Services and General Administration Department on Thursday, Mahnaz Faheem has been promoted from BS-19 to BS-20 and will assume the role of chief economist. This appointment marks a significant milestone for gender representation in AJK’s public sector, reflecting progress toward greater inclusion in senior government positions.
