The Pakistan cricket team departed for Australia from Lahore last night, ARY News reported on Thursday.
The national squad, led by first-time Test captain Shaan Masood, will play a four-day match against the Prime Minister’s XI from December 6 before the start of the Test series in Australia.
The first Test of the series will start from December 14 in Perth. The second Test will be played in Melbourne from December 26, and the third Test will be played in Sydney from January 03.
The Pakistani team will be looking to bounce back from their disappointing performance in the recent ICC World Cup, where they failed to qualify for the semi-finals. They will be facing a tough challenge in Australia, who are one of the strongest teams in the world.
However, the Pakistani team has a good record in Australia, having won two and lost three of their five Test series there. They will be hoping to continue their good form in Australia and come back with a positive result.
Schedule of the Pakistan cricket team’s tour of Australia:
- Four-day match against the Prime Minister’s XI: December 6-9, 2023
- First Test: December 14-18, 2023
- Second Test: December 26-30, 2023
- Third Test: January 3-7, 2024
We wish the Pakistan cricket team all the best for their tour of Australia.
