Sindh CM Orders Fast-Track Completion of Shahrah-e-Bhutto Ahead of Eid in Karachi

Murad Ali Shah has set a clear deadline for the completion of the Shahrah-e-Bhutto project, directing authorities to accelerate work and ensure the key corridor is opened before Eid. The chief minister described the initiative as an “Eid gift” for the residents of Karachi.

During a detailed site visit, Murad Ali Shah reviewed construction progress along the stretch from Azeempura Flyover to Kathore. Officials briefed him on the current status of the project, which spans approximately 38 kilometers and connects the Jam Sadiq Interchange to the M-9 Kathore Interchange.

The Shahrah-e-Bhutto corridor is considered a major infrastructure development aimed at easing traffic congestion and improving connectivity across Karachi. Once operational, it is expected to provide a smoother transit route for commuters traveling between key industrial and residential areas.

Officials highlighted that work is progressing steadily, but the chief minister stressed the need for increased pace to meet the pre-Eid deadline. He instructed relevant departments to mobilize additional resources and ensure timely completion without compromising on quality standards.

The project is also expected to reduce travel time significantly, offering relief to daily commuters who face long hours on congested roads. Improved road infrastructure will further support economic activity by enabling efficient movement of goods and services.

Murad Ali Shah reiterated the provincial government’s commitment to delivering impactful development projects that directly benefit citizens. The early opening of Shahrah-e-Bhutto is being positioned as a major step toward modernizing Karachi’s transport network.
