In Lahore and surrounding districts, rain accompanied by strong winds significantly improved the weather. While Punjab enjoyed a break from the heat, Karachi continued to experience challenging weather. According to meteorological forecasts, temperatures in the city are expected to climb to around 38°C, with humidity levels reaching nearly 75 percent. The combination of heat and moisture has made conditions feel considerably hotter than the actual temperature.
Many residents across Karachi have reported difficulties coping with the persistent heatwave, particularly during peak daytime hours. The humid conditions have increased discomfort and raised concerns about heat-related health issues, especially among vulnerable groups.

Residents from areas including Central, West, South, Malir, and Korangi districts have complained of power outages lasting for extended periods, making it difficult to operate fans, air conditioners, and other cooling appliances.
Citizens say the combination of extreme temperatures and lengthy power cuts has created significant challenges for households and businesses. Many have expressed frustration over the impact on daily routines, productivity, and overall quality of life during the ongoing hot weather spell.
Meanwhile, power utility officials maintain that electricity supply is being managed according to operational requirements. The utility has stated that no area is experiencing load shedding beyond the officially scheduled duration, although residents in several neighborhoods continue to report longer outages.
Weather experts note that the contrasting conditions between Punjab and Sindh highlight Pakistan’s diverse climate patterns. While northern and central regions may continue to receive rain and cooler temperatures, southern areas such as Karachi are expected to remain under the influence of hot and humid weather in the short term.
Authorities have advised citizens to stay hydrated, avoid unnecessary outdoor exposure during peak heat hours, and take precautionary measures as weather conditions continue to vary across different parts of the country.
