ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad court has rejected the bail application of former interior minister Sheikh Rasheed.
A hearing was held on Sheikh Rasheed’s post-arrest bail application in the District and Sessions Courts Islamabad, in which Sheikh Rasheed’s lawyers Sardar Abdul Raziq, Intarza Panjutha, Prosecutor Adnan and the plaintiff’s lawyer appeared in the court.
Sheikh Rasheed’s lawyer, Sardar Abdul Raziq, gave arguments and said that the case was filed under the conspiracy and to pit two political parties against each other. The provisions required in the case can be imposed by the federal or provincial government, not citizens. Statement not given against religious groups, linguistic groups or any nationality for which such inevitabilities apply.
