Syed Murad Ali Shah, the Chief Minister of Sindh, has approved the launch of an AI-based job portal and a digital complaint resolution system aimed at connecting persons with disabilities to employment opportunities and institutional support across the province.
The initiative will be developed in collaboration with the Sukkur Institute of Business Administration, focusing on creating a dedicated platform that integrates AI-driven job matching to improve employment accessibility for persons with disabilities.
The portal will support multiple languages, including Sindhi, Urdu, and English, ensuring inclusivity and broad usability across Sindh. Users will be able to access personalized job recommendations, apply online, and report grievances or challenges through the digital complaint system.
Officials emphasized that the system will bridge gaps between job seekers with disabilities and employers, enhancing participation in the formal workforce while providing streamlined institutional support. AI algorithms will optimize job matching by considering skills, experience, and accessibility needs.
The project aligns with broader provincial efforts to leverage technology for social inclusion and employment equity. By integrating AI and multilingual support, Sindh aims to remove traditional barriers faced by persons with disabilities in finding sustainable employment.
Experts highlight that such AI-powered platforms not only facilitate better workforce integration but also improve government accountability by providing a structured digital mechanism for complaint resolution and tracking.
This move is part of Sindh’s digital transformation agenda, which seeks to modernize public services while promoting equitable access to economic opportunities. Stakeholders expect the portal to enhance collaboration between government institutions, educational bodies, and employers in creating an inclusive job market.
The AI-based portal is expected to be operational in the coming months, setting a precedent for other provinces in Pakistan to adopt similar technology-driven approaches to disability inclusion and employment facilitation.
