Karachi Experiences Coldest Night of Winter Season

Karachi shivered through the coldest night of the ongoing winter season, as temperatures plunged across the city and large parts of Sindh. Residents reported unusually chilly conditions, prompting locals to bundle up against the cold.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), Jinnah Terminal recorded the lowest temperature in Karachi at six degrees Celsius. Other areas of the city also experienced low minimum temperatures, keeping the overall winter chill persistent across the metropolis.

The sharp drop in temperatures marks a notable deviation from Karachi’s usual mild winter climate. Authorities have advised residents to take necessary precautions, especially the elderly and children, who are more vulnerable to sudden cold spells.

Meteorologists predict that the cold conditions may continue intermittently over the coming days, with slight variations depending on local weather systems and wind patterns from northern regions. The PMD has urged citizens to stay updated on weather forecasts to manage outdoor activities safely.

Chilly nights and early morning fog have also been reported in nearby Sindh towns, affecting road visibility and daily commutes. Local authorities are coordinating with emergency services to address any cold-related health issues and ensure public safety.

As Karachi residents brace for continued winter temperatures, the city’s iconic port-side lifestyle has temporarily adjusted to the drop in mercury, with warm clothing and indoor heating becoming essential for comfort.
