The Faisalabad Development Authority has intensified its enforcement campaign against unauthorized real estate developments, demolishing an illegal housing scheme and sealing its office on Narwala Road in Faisalabad.
The operation targeted a project identified as “Grand City,” which was reportedly being developed in Chak No. 59-JB without meeting the required legal approvals. According to officials, the scheme was found in violation of urban development regulations, prompting immediate action from the authority.
The crackdown was carried out under the supervision of senior officials including Director Town Planning Asma Mohsin and Deputy Director Faran Siddiqui. Enforcement teams inspected the site and confirmed that the project lacked necessary permissions and compliance documentation required for lawful development.
Authorities stated that strict action was necessary to prevent citizens from falling victim to fraudulent or unauthorized housing schemes. Illegal developments often mislead buyers by offering plots or properties without proper approval from regulatory bodies, creating financial risks for the public.
The FDA emphasized that no housing scheme can be developed or marketed without prior approval and adherence to zoning and planning regulations. Officials further warned developers to comply with legal procedures or face similar enforcement actions in the future.
This latest operation reflects the authority’s ongoing efforts to regulate urban expansion in Faisalabad and ensure transparent real estate practices. In recent months, the FDA has increased monitoring of private housing projects to curb illegal constructions and protect public investment.
Residents have been urged to verify the legal status of any housing scheme before making purchases. The authority has also encouraged citizens to report suspicious developments to help prevent unauthorized projects from spreading.
With continued enforcement actions, the FDA aims to maintain orderly urban development and safeguard citizens from potential fraud in the real estate sector.
