Gold Price Stays Below Rs. 430,000 Per Tola in Pakistan After Fresh Increase

Gold prices in Pakistan registered a modest recovery on Monday, mirroring gains in the international bullion market during the first trading session of the week. Despite the increase, the price of gold remained below the Rs. 430,000 per tola mark, offering some stability after recent fluctuations.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the price of 24-karat gold per tola increased by Rs. 1,700, reaching Rs. 428,436 in the local market.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold rose by Rs. 1,457, settling at Rs. 367,314. The increase reflects renewed momentum in the precious metals market following a positive start to the trading week internationally.

Gold prices in Pakistan are influenced by several factors, including movements in the global bullion market, fluctuations in the Pakistani rupee against the US dollar, and local demand from investors, jewellers, and consumers. Any changes in these factors can lead to daily adjustments in domestic gold rates.

International gold prices also posted gains on Monday, contributing to the upward movement in Pakistan’s bullion market. Global investors often turn to gold as a safe-haven asset during periods of economic uncertainty, geopolitical tensions, or expectations of changes in interest rates, which can directly affect international prices.

The latest increase comes after recent volatility in gold prices, with investors closely monitoring global economic developments and central bank policies. Market analysts believe that international trends will continue to play a key role in determining the direction of gold prices in Pakistan over the coming weeks.

For consumers planning to purchase jewellery, the current rates remain significantly higher than historical averages, although prices continue to fluctuate on a daily basis. Investors, meanwhile, continue to view gold as a long-term store of value and a hedge against inflation and currency depreciation.

Jewellers and bullion traders also keep a close watch on international market performance, as changes in global spot prices are quickly reflected in Pakistan’s local gold market. The latest increase highlights the continued connection between domestic and international precious metal markets.

As trading continues throughout the week, market participants will be watching global economic indicators, currency movements, and investor sentiment to gauge whether gold prices will maintain their upward momentum or experience another round of corrections.
