Fly Jinnah has officially started regular direct flights between Karachi and Riyadh, introducing a new air travel connection between Pakistan’s largest city and the capital of Saudi Arabia.
The airline’s first Karachi-Riyadh flight departed on Friday night with 146 passengers on board, marking the beginning of the new international route.
A small inauguration ceremony was held at the Karachi airport lounge before the aircraft’s departure. The event included a cake-cutting ceremony to mark the launch of Fly Jinnah’s new service.
Officials from the Pakistan Airports Authority, Civil Aviation Authority, Airport Security Force and other relevant institutions attended the inauguration.
The launch provides passengers in Karachi with another direct travel option for reaching Riyadh, an important destination for business, employment, family visits and other travel purposes.
The new route also strengthens air connectivity between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, where a large Pakistani community lives and works.
