Chinese electric vehicle giant BYD has expanded its footprint in Pakistan by opening a new authorized dealership in Karachi’s Korangi area, further strengthening its position in the country’s rapidly growing New Energy Vehicle (NEV) market.
The new facility has been launched through BYD Pakistan’s official partner, Mega Motor Company (Pvt.) Limited. With this addition, the company’s nationwide dealership network has grown to seven locations, reflecting increasing consumer interest in electric and hybrid mobility solutions.
Karachi remains Pakistan’s largest automotive market, making it a strategic location for BYD’s continued expansion. The company aims to improve accessibility for customers seeking environmentally friendly transportation options while enhancing after-sales support and vehicle servicing capabilities.
The newly inaugurated dealership operates as a comprehensive 3S facility, offering sales, service, and spare parts under one roof. Customers will be able to explore BYD’s latest vehicle lineup, schedule test drives, and make bookings directly at the Korangi showroom.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, representatives from Mega Motor Company highlighted BYD’s commitment to accelerating the transition toward sustainable transportation in Pakistan. The company noted that expanding its dealership network is essential to meeting growing consumer demand and ensuring convenient access to advanced automotive technology.
The move comes at a time when Pakistan’s electric vehicle sector is witnessing increasing momentum. Rising fuel costs, greater environmental awareness, and government support for cleaner transportation alternatives are encouraging more consumers to consider NEVs as a practical long-term investment.
The Korangi dealership will showcase BYD’s expanding portfolio of vehicles, including the BYD Atto 2, BYD Atto 3, BYD Seal, BYD Sealion 7, and BYD Shark 6. These models represent a mix of electric SUVs, sedans, and utility vehicles designed to cater to a variety of customer preferences.
Industry observers believe that the continued expansion of charging infrastructure, dealership networks, and consumer awareness campaigns will play a key role in driving electric vehicle adoption across Pakistan. As one of the world’s leading NEV manufacturers, BYD is positioning itself to capitalize on this emerging market opportunity.
The company has also indicated plans to further expand its customer network across major Pakistani cities during the second half of 2026. This strategy is expected to enhance brand visibility, improve customer engagement, and support the broader growth of Pakistan’s sustainable mobility ecosystem.
With the opening of its third dealership in Karachi, BYD continues to reinforce its commitment to making electric mobility more accessible while contributing to the country’s transition toward cleaner and more efficient transportation solutions.
