The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Department has released revised school schedules in preparation for the holy month of Ramadan. These changes aim to accommodate the fasting practices of students and teachers.
New School Hours in KP
- Primary Schools: Classes will begin at 7:30 am and end at 11:10 am, with a shorter day on Friday ending at 10:05 am.
- Middle, Secondary, and Higher Secondary Schools: Classes will start at 7:30 am and conclude at 12:15 pm, with an earlier dismissal on Friday at 10:25 am.
Ramadan Moon Sighting
The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will meet in Peshawar on March 11th to determine the official start of Ramadan. If the crescent moon is sighted, the holy month will begin on March 12th. Similar committees in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are also scheduled to observe the moon on March 10th.
