To provide greater convenience during the holy month of Ramadan, Pakistan’s Utility Stores Corporation has announced extended operating hours nationwide. This decision, a part of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s Ramadan relief initiatives, aims to give shoppers more time to purchase essential items.
- Extended Hours for Shopper Ease: Utility stores will now stay open until 10 pm after Iftar (the evening meal that breaks the daily fast). This adjustment offers greater flexibility for those observing Ramadan, allowing them ample time to shop for groceries and other necessities.
- Supporting Employees: In a thoughtful gesture, the Utility Stores Corporation will also provide a daily Iftar allowance of Rs 500 to employees who are fasting during Ramadan. This demonstrates respect and support for their religious practices.
- Swift Implementation: Orders have been issued to management across the country to ensure these Ramadan-focused measures are implemented quickly and smoothly.
